How to Stay Consistent with a Diet Without Caving

Losing weight is a challenge that most people are unable to overcome.
There are so many books and articles out there giving tips on how to lose weight but the main challenge most people face is being consistent with their weight loss plan.
Whether it is exercising or dieting, the only way to actually lose the excess weight is to do the right thing and be consistent.
Most people start their weight loss journey, but very few actually push through with it to see the results.
It may seem a bit hard at first following a strict diet plan, but once you get used to it, it becomes part of your life making it much easier to follow.

Consistent small changes is the Key
Making small and consistent changes rather than great big changes that you’re unlikely to stick to for any length of time.

  • Drink a glass of water when you get up

  • Take a daily walk even if it’s just for 5 minutes

  • Swap chips for salad or make your portion of chips smaller and add some salad

  • Swap a fizzy drink a day with water (more if you can)

  • Take the stairs instead of the lift

  • Park a little further away when you go shopping to  get some extra steps in

Build healthy habits into your daily life that you can stick with.  Something as small as walking around whilst you’re on the phone or whilst the kettle boils make a difference.
